NEGLEY, Daniel, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, April 10, 1802 in Negleystown (now, East Liberty), Allegheny County, Pa.; farmer; grocer and dry goods merchant; elected, school board, Pittsburgh (1835); treasurer, Greensburgh and Pittsburgh Turnpike Road Company (1845); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1857; appointed, director, Washington Building and Loan Association; died, December 4, 1867 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
