FEARON, William H., Jr., a Representative from Clinton, Lycoming and Potter Counties; born, December 15, 1815 in Beech Creek Township, Clinton County, Pa.; corporal, Company A, 194th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864, Civil War); employed, civil engineer, Public Works Department, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (4 years); elected, prothonotary, recorder and register, and clerk of courts, Clinton County (1843-1847); farmer (1840-1843, 1847-1851); engaged, real estate and lumber business; elected as a Whig and American to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1855 term; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1859 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1856 or 1860 terms; appointed, Assistant United States Revenue Assessor, Clinton County (1862-1872); agent, general fire and life insurance; elected, alderman, 3rd Ward, Lock Haven (1875-1880); died, April 5, 1881 in Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
