MILLER, Robert P., a Representative from Crawford and Warren Counties; born, July 25, 1815 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa.; farmer; attorney-at-law; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1857 and 1858; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1859); engaged, mercantile business (1860-1867); elected, burgess, Linesville (1864-1865); farmer; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Lineville Station (1869-1870); elected, justice of the peace, Linesville; unsuccessful campaign as a National Greenbacker, United States Congress (1884); died, April 12, 1899 in Southwest Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania; interred, Linesville Cemetery, Linesville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
