NILL, James, a Representative from Franklin and Fulton Counties; born, December 16, 1802 in Quincy Township, Franklin County, Pa.; attorney (1830-1860); appointed, president judge, 15th judicial district, Chester County (1847-1848); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1858; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1859); elected, president judge, 16th judicial district, Somerset County (1861-1864); died, May 27, 1864 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Zion Reformed Church Cemetery, Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
