WILLISTON, Lorenzo Parsons, a Representative from Potter and Tioga Counties; born, August of 1815 in Binghamton, Broome County, NY; clerk, S.F. Wilson Law practice; attorney-at-law; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1857 term; reelected to the House for the 1858, 1859 and 1860 terms, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1861 term; presidential appointee, associate judge, Territory of Dakota (now South Dakota), (1861-1864); presidential appointee, associate justice, Supreme Court, Territory of Montana (now Montana), (1864-1868); unsuccessful Greenbacker campaign, United States Congress (1878); died, May 22, 1887 in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania; interred, Wellsboro Cemetery, Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
