BLAIR, Brice X., a Representative from Huntingdon County; born in Shade Gap, Huntingdon County, Pa., September 20, 1820; captain, Company I, 149th Regiment, "Bucktails," Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1864, Civil War); engaged, mercantile business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1861 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Huntingdon (1869-1874); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1874); United States patent holder, boring machine (1874); died, March 21, 1890 in Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
