McCUE, John B., a Representative from Armstrong County; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., June 22, 1921; B.A., The Pennsylvania State University, 1942; J.D., University of Pittsburgh Law School, 1948; staff sergeant gunner, 8th Air Forces, Air Corps, United States Army (1943-1945, World War II); lieutenant, 28th Infantry Division, United States Army (Korean War); Judge Advocate, Pennsylvania National Guard, Germany; colonel (honorary Brigadier General), United States Army Reserves; attorney; elected, solicitor, Ford City (25 years); solicitor, Freeport; Assistant District Attorney, Armstrong County (1955); chair, Armstrong County Young Republicans (1950-1954); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican for Armstrong County in 1962; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1964); reelected as a Republican to the 61st District in 1970; reelected as a Republican to the 60th District in 1972 and 1974; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1976); died, April 11, 2010 in Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ford City, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
