(1846-1854); elected, justice of peace, Washington Township (1854-1883); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1860 and 1861 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 term; elected, secretary, Republican County Convention; died, April 21, 1888 in Washington Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Concord Cemetery, Hooker, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
