BICKSLER (BIXLER), Jacob Light, a Representative from Lebanon County; born, January 31, 1814 near Fredericksburg, Lebanon County, Pa.; attended, Myerstown Academy; commissioned by Governor James Pollock, colonel of militia, 1857; teacher; tavern owner; farmer; elected as a People’s Party Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1860; died, February 18, 1879 in Fredericksburg, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
