JENKS, William P., a Representative from Clarion and Jefferson Counties; born, May 27, 1821 in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pa.; attended, Jefferson College (now Washington and Jefferson College); studied law, David Barclay Jenks; lawyer (1845-1900); elected, District Attorney (1850-1853); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1867 and 1868 terms; elected, president judge, Clarion, Forest and Jefferson Counties (1872-1882); died, April 25, 1902 in Brookville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania; interred, Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
