LILLEY, Dummer, a Representative from Bradford County; born, August 31, 1813 in Troy, Bradford County, Pa.; attended, Dr. Fowler’s School; printer, Bradford Settler; printer, Troy Argus; publisher, Bradford Argus and Reform Advocate (1834-1836); publisher and editor, Bradford Argus (1836-1839); gubernatorial appointee, clerk of the orphan’s court, register of wills and recorder of deeds, Bradford County (1838-1839); farmer; elected, commissioner, Bradford County (1856-1857); elected, secretary, Republican Convention, Bradford County; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1863 term and as a Union Republican for the 1864 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1865 term; president, Troy Grange Mutual Insurance Company; died, February 18, 1882 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Sylvan Hill Cemetery, Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
