MARTIN, Amos H., a Representative from Huntingdon, Juniata and Mifflin Counties; born in Augusta Township, Northumberland County, Pa., August 29, 1813; captain, Company I, 126th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War);  farmer; elected, prothonotary, Huntingdon County (1854-1859); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1869 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1870 term; engaged, auction business (1876-1884); died, June 9, 1884 in Mount Morris, Greene County, Pennsylvania; interred, Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
