WESTLAKE, George Smith, a Representative from Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born, 1829; private, Company E, 211th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); wagon maker; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1867 and 1868; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1869); died, September 29, 1888 in Millbrook, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Home Cemetery, Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
