LETHERMAN, Demas M., a Representative from Beaver, Butler and Washington Counties; born, March 8, 1817 in West Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Pa., teacher; farmer; sheep breeder; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1871 and 1872 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1873 term; died, December 5, 1878 in West Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Letherman Cemetery, Scenery Hill, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
