(1872-1891); elected, justice of peace (1872-1873); elected, school director (1872-1873); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1873 and 1874 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1875 term; president, Allison Land Company; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1882); vice president, Citizens’ National Bank of Washington; postmaster, United States Postal Service, McGovern, Pa.
