Alexandria,” United States Navy (1864-1865, Civil War); attorney (1868-1901); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); elected, mayor, city of Lancaster (1884-1886); died, May 2, 1901 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
