JACKSON, Benjamin Rush, a Representative from Sullivan County; born in Berwick, Columbia County, Pa., June 18, 1832; graduated, Wyoming Seminary, Kingston; graduated, Philadelphia Eclectic College (Electro-Therapeutic Institute), 1886; physician; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Dushore; elected, burgess, Dushore; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; died, September 27, 1912 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riverside Cemetery, Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
