RENNINGER, John S., a Representative from Bucks County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., October 10, 1924; graduated, Cheltenham High School; attended, Drexel Institute of Technology; attended, University of Oregon; B.A., University of Pennsylvania, 1948; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1951; sergeant, Air Corps, United States Army (1943-1946, World War II); ensign, United States Naval Reserve; associate editor, Law Review; attorney; member, Newtown Borough Republican Committee, Ward 1; member, Executive Committee, Bucks County Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1965 term and served 5 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Special Committee to Study the Public Employee Relations Act (of 1970) (1973); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1977 term; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1976); died, April 2, 2005 in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
