PORTER, Frank, a Representative from Lycoming County; born, March 24, 1836 in Armstrong Township, Lycoming County, Pa.; private, Company K, 14th Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1862, Civil War); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1878; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1880); proprietor, mill; engaged, lumbering; died, April 7, 1908 in Clinton Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Montgomery, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
