BLACKMER, Paul, a Representative from Crawford County; born, November 30, 1821 in White Hall, Washington County, NY; boot and shoe dealer; justice of the peace; appointed, Assistant United States Assessor (1864); appointed, commissioner at Vienna Exposition (1873); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1879 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1880); died, February 24, 1885 in Spartansburg, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
