WOLFE, Charles Spyker, a Representative from Union County; born, April 6, 1845 in Lewisburg, Union County, Pa.; graduated, University of Lewisburg (now Bucknell University), 1866; graduated, Harvard Law School, 1868; private, Company B, 3rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Militia of 1862 (1862, Civil War); attorney-at-law (1868-1891); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1872; reelected to serve for 3 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1876); reelected to the House in 1878 and 1880; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1882); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1881); unsuccessful campaign,  reelection to the House (1886); unsuccessful Prohibition Party campaign, Pennsylvania Governor (1886); died, August 13, 1891 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.
