SPENCE, Edward, a Representative from Beaver County; born, April 9, 1829 in Pawtucket, Bristol County, Ma.; farmer; engaged, oil business; elected, burgess, Georgetown, Pa.; superintendent, Georgetown schools; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1881 term; unsuccessful candidate for reelection (1882); died, February 16, 1907 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
