MEYER, Henry, a Representative from Centre County; born, December 8, 1840 in Rebersburg, Centre County, Pa.; attended, Union Seminary; graduated, Keystone State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania); corporal, Company A, 148th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1864, Civil War); teacher; school superintendent, Centre County (1875-1881); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1882; not a candidate for reelection to the House  (1884); died, November 8, 1925 in Centre County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evangelical Cemetery, Rebersburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
