LaMARCA, Russell J., a Representative from Berks County; born in Reading, Berks County, Pa., December 17, 1928; graduated, Reading High School, 1946; B.A., University of Pittsburgh, 1951; LL.B., University of Pittsburgh School of Law, 1959; sergeant, United States Marine Corps (Korean War); attorney; solicitor, Reading Redevelopment Authority (1961-1964); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1965 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; elected, chair, Majority Policy Committee (1975-1976); appointed, Committee to Investigate the Administration of Justice (1973-1974); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1976); elected, director, Legislative Reference Bureau (1977-1978); restaurant owner (1981-2001); died, October 2, 2001 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
