PATTERSON, Richard, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, October 4, 1850 in County Londonderry, Ireland; engaged, porcelain and glass trade; secretary,  treasurer and general manager, Fairmount Steamboat Company (1876 -1902); president, Irish National Land League;  elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1887 term; reelected to serve 2 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); president, Pennsylvania Liquor Dealers’ League; died, January 13, 1902 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
