MULLIN, Winfield Scott, a Representative from Bedford County; born, October 27, 1851 near Mann’s Choice, Bedford County, Pa.; engineer, Huntingdon and Broad Top Railroad; engineer, B. & O. Railroad, Pittsburgh division (1869-1883); engaged, mercantile business (1883-1890); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1889 and 1891 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); elected, council, Hyndman; elected, burgess, Hyndman; president, Hyndman School Board; appointed, deputy factory inspector, District of Southern Pennsylvania (1895-1906); employed, Pennsylvania Auditor General’s office (1907-1916); employed, Pennsylvania Highway Department (1916-1925); died, September 12, 1926 in Hyndman, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
