EBERHART, David Christian, a Representative from York County; born, November 19, 1826 in Hickory Township, Mercer County, Pa.; attended, Ligonier Academy; chaplain, 87th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1863-1864; prisoner of war, 1863); teacher; dentist; justice of the peace, Shrewsbury, York County (15 years); Methodist minister; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1890; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1892); died, December 21, 1913 in Shrewsbury, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Shrewsbury, York County, Pennsylvania.
