SELTZER, Harvey Jack, a Representative from Lebanon County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., August 12, 1922; graduated, Harrisburg Academy; graduated, Mercersburg Academy; served, "Patsu 1-1 Aircraft," "FAW-1 Aircraft." United States Navy (1942-1946, World War II); employed, Harrisburg Dairies; owner, Seltzer’s Lebanon Bologna Company; member, Lebanon County Republican Executive Committee; elected, council, Palmyra Borough (7 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1957 term and served 11 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, Minority Leader (December 14, 1977-1978); elected, Speaker  (1979-1980); appointed, Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1963-1966); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1979-1980); died, February 28, 2011 in Scottsdale, Maricopa County, Arizona; interred, Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
