ANDREWS, William Henry, a Representative from Crawford County; born, January 14, 1842 in Youngstown, Warren County, Pa.; dry goods merchant; elected, chair, Crawford County Republican Committee (1880-1884, 1886-1890); elected, secretary, Republican State Committee (1887-1888); elected, chair, Republican State Committee (1889-1890); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1888 and 1892; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1890, 1894); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1895-1898); engaged, mining and oil development, New Mexico; elected, council, New Mexico Territory (1903-1904); elected, delegate, United States Congress (1905-1912); president, Santa Fe Railroad Co.; died, January 16, 1919 in Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico; interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Titusville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
