JENNINGS, Bishop Worth, a Representative from Sullivan County; born in West Pittston, Luzerne County, Pa., May 4, 1862; graduated, Wyoming Seminary, Pa.; graduated, Bloomsburg Literary Institute and Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); mill owner; proprietor, clothespin, dowel and broom-handle factory; proprietor, general store; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Lopez, Pa. (1887-1889, 1900-1905); school director, Colley, Pa. (1890-1896); justice of the peace; director, First National Bank at Tunkhannock; president, First National Bank at Dushore; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1894 and 1896; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898); died, October 20, 1906 in Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia; interred, Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.
