MILLER, Clarence Bement, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, September 8, 1860 in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pa.; attended, Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Orphan School, Mansfield, Pa.; graduated, Mansfield Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania), 1878; school principal (1879-1883); superintendent, Nanticoke School District (1884-1897); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898); lawyer (1897-1933); assistant corporation clerk, Pennsylvania Department of State (1898-1912); lawyer, Olmstead, Snyder and Miller, later Snyder, Miller, Hull and Hull (1912-1933); director, Mechanics Trust Company; died, November 10, 1933 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, Paxtang Cemetery, Paxtang, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
