COOK, Dr. Peter McCauley, a Representative from Fulton County; born, May 30, 1843 in Little Cove, Franklin County, Pa.; attended, Mercersburg College; attended, Franklin and Marshall College; M.D., Pennsylvania Medical College, c. 1868; corporal, Company C, 126th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); physician; appointed, pension examiner; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1896; died while in office, January 31, 1897 in Webster Mills, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
