PEDDER, Charles J., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June of 1869 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; attended, Duff’s Business Institute; chemist and superintendent, Wayne Iron and Steel Company (7 years); real estate agent, Liggett Brothers; elected, select council, 35th Ward, Pittsburgh; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898); appointed, Central Board of Education; owner, Charles J. Pedder & Company, realtors; died, April 15, 1904 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
