BOLLES, Courtlandt Kimball, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, May 9, 1865 in Portland, Cumberland County, Me.; graduated, Tufts College; LL.B., law department, University of Pennsylvania, 1891; commander, Naval Battalion of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania National Guard (1898-1899, Spanish-American War); newspaper journalist; lawyer; treasurer, Ninth Ward Republican Committee; elected, alternate delegate, Republican National Convention (1892); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1893 term; reelected to serve 2 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1898); presidential appointee, United States consul, Kehl, Germany (1901-1902); died, May 22, 1902 in Kehl, Baden, Germany.
