David W. Heckler (R) was born March 7, 1947, in Abington, son of Jacob W. and Grace Jones Heckler; graduated, Central Bucks High School, 1965; Yale University (B.A.), 1969; University of Virginia School of Law (LL.B.), 1972; married Susan Kruger; 2 children: Betsy (deceased), Matthew.

Attorney; member, Bucks County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association; former counsel, Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Association; member, Doylestown Lions Club; former counsel, Pennsylvania Senate Finance Committee, 1983-86; former assistant district attorney, Bucks County, 1972-79; instructor, Bucks County Community College, 1973-82; member, Bucks County Constables, Bucks County Fire School, Pennsylvania State Fire Academy.
