Rudolph Spangler, born January 5, 1756, Jackson Twp., York County; died March 10, 1828, interred in Trinity (or Roth’s) Cemetery; son of Rudolph and Barbara Spangler; wife was Elizabeth.
Captain, York County Militia, Revolution, 1775; company commander 1776, to Fort Washington, after his was one of four York County companies to march to New Jersey to form the “Flying Camp.”; Rudolph was a silversmith.
