Charles Henry Paulson, born September 11, 1815, Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, son of Samuel Joseph and Lydia Paulson; educated at private school, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; learned the hatting business, engaged in the hat and fur business; member, select council of Allegheny City, three years; elected, Democrat, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1879-1880; married, Narcissa A. Paulson, 1839 (d.1845), Elizabeth D. Gormly Paulson, children, Frank Gormley Paulson, Lydia F. Bickel, Elizabeth Kilgore Foster, Jennie C. Paulson; died, April 20, 1880 (age 63), Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interment, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Politics:

Member, select council of Allegheny City, three years.
