George Marlow
Biography
1870 -
Born July 9, 1870, the son of textile mill workers Joseph and Elizabeth (Black) Marlow of Loughborough, Leicestershire, England; he was educated in primary and secondary schools of Leicester; read law and finished school before coming to Philadelphia in 1887; clerked in the John F. Jenkins pottery factory; worked as a stenographer for the Earnline Steamship Company, Philadelphia, for 20 years; the New York Metal and Allowy Co. in York, Pennsylvania, 1907, serving ads secretary and treasurer; and was associated with the Marlow Knitting Co. of Brooklyn, New York. Member Knights of Columbus.
