Bruce S Marks
Born March 14, 1957, Clarksburg, WV, resides in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. He appeared to lose a 1993 special election for the 2nd senatorial district for the Pennsylvania Senate, but a federal judge declared him the winner of that election after finding that the campaign of William G. Stinson had engaged in election fraud. Marks was seated in the Senate on April 28, 1994. The decision was notable because it shifted control of the state Senate from the Democratic party to the Republican party, the first time such an event had occurred at the order of a federal judge.
