Charles J. Magee, born February 5, 1883, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; son of Edward Simpson and Anna Elizabeth Sees Magee; Pittsburgh public school education; Saint Vincent College; Georgetown University; Pittsburgh Law School; prepared for the bar under his older brother, Pennsylvania State Senator, William A. Magee, admitted Allegheny County, 1912; elected, Republican, Pennsylvania State Senate, 1913-1917; died March 13, 1917, (aged 34) in office of the Senate, of pneumonia, suffering from H1N1 Influenza (Spanish Flu), Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interment, Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
