Born in Worcester Township, near Norristown, Montgomery County, February 25, 1867, Thaddeus S. Krause was the son of Joel H. and Mary E. Sunderman Krause; attended public schools; graduated from Ursinus College, 1887; read law with Wayne McVeagh and George Tucker Bospham; and received law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1891; engaged in private law practice; member of the state House of Representatives, 1918-1922; and elected to the state Senate, serving 1923-1934.
