Born on January 31, 1784, Solebury, Bucks County; died February 24, 1842, the son of Quakers John and Hanna (Ely) Kitchin; practiced medicine; commissioned Clerk of the Orphans’ Court and Court of Quarter Sessions by Governor Schultz; and served one full term in the state Senate, 1824-1827.  He married Rebecca Crowell in 1827.  Dr. Kitchin died on February 24, 1842.
