Biography

1762 - 1820

Born in on November 12, 1762, East Whiteland Twp., Chester County, Senator William Beale was the son of Judge Thomas and Mary Tod Hunter Beale of East Whiteland Twp., and later of the Tuscarora Valley Pennsylvania.   An “Old School Jefferson Man,” Beale served in the state House of Representatives, 1799-1801; 1804-1805; and the state Senate, 1812-1816.  He married first, Mary Margret Henderson in 1787, and second, Mary Lindsay in 1811.  Senator Beale died on October 23, 1820 in Milford Township, Mifflin County; interred at the Academia, Juniata County Presbyterian Churchyard.
