Phil Inquirer, Nov 7, 1997: Morton H. Fetterolf Jr., 85, a former Pennsylvania state senator who had been a golf association official and a founder of a professional football team, died Tuesday at his home in Blue Bell, Montgomery County. Mr. Fetterolf began his political career in February 1950, when he was appointed to the Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors. He resigned as the board's chairman in August 1956 and ran successfully for the state House seat in the Third District. In his fourth term, he was elected Republican majority whip of the House.
