Born in Philadelphia, February 11, 1873; educated in public schools; printer’s apprentice; continued education at Central High School; member of Typographical Union No. 2; member of the union’s law committee; two terms vice president of the organization; member of the city’s Democratic Committee; Nineteenth Sectional School Board for three terms; and member of the Total Abstinence Society. Senator Farley died on March 16, 1941.
