John H Devlin
John H. Devlin was born on August 6, 1917, Pittsburgh; educated in Epiphany Elementary School; Central Catholic High School; Duquesne University (A.B.); and the University of Pittsburgh law School, (LL.B); served as a special agent of the FBI, 1940-1947; real estate deputy, Sheriff’s Office of Allegheny County, 1947-1951; legal practice in 1951; Asst. D.A. of Allegheny County, 1956-1964; member General State Authority; State Highway and Bridge Authority; State Public School Building Authority; and joint Government Commission. John was elected to the state House of Representatives, 1956-1958; and, the state Senate, 1961-1967; elected Democratic Minority Leader, 1965-1967. He married Antoinette Giordano. The senator died July 20, 1967.
