Biography

1906 - 1982

Zehnder Confair was born on January 11, 1906, the son of Charles H. and Rena (Baum) Confair; educated Berwick High School and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, B.S. degree; pursued the soft drink bottling business; president, First Federal Savings and Loan Assn.; member, board of directors, Williamsport Chamber of Commerce and Northern Central Bank and Trust; chair and member Executive Committee-Industrial Development Bureau of Lycoming County; president of the Keystone bottlers Assn.; served in the state Senate, 1959-1972.  He married Arlyne S. Hoyt, The senator died on January 25, 1982.
