HUTCHINSON, Amos King, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pa., January 1, 1920; graduated, Greensburg High School, 1938; served, United States Marine Corps (1941-1945, World War II); director, Greensburg School; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1968; reelected 8 more concurrent terms; appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1975-1980); appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (1981-1984); appointed, High Speed Intercity Rail Passenger Commission (1985-1986); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1988); died, August 1, 1990 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
