Richard J Green, Jr
Born in Johnstown on July 26, 1925, the son of Richard E. and Margaret (Roberts) Green, Richard J. received his education in parochial schools, Southmont High School, and the University of Pittsburgh (B.S. and LL.B); attorney; service in WWII as Sgt., US Army Infantry, 26th Division, 1943-1945; Purple Heart, European Theater; member county, state, and federal bar associations; chaired the Cambria County Young Republicans; elected one term state House of Representatives, 1962; and served in the state Senate, 1965-1968. After state service he practiced law in Johnstown. He married Alice L. Hite. Senator Green died on December 28, 2004.
