Of Beaver, Pennsylvania, John G. Good Jr. was born on May 17, 1926, Pittsburgh, the son of John G. and Martha Wenzel Good. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law; served in the US Navy, 1944-1946; was a member of county and state bar associations; member, Pennsylvania and National District Attorney Associations, and various professional, civic, and fraternal organizations. The senator was elected to the state Senate via special election to fill the vacancy left by Ernie Kline who became Lt. Governor. He married Wanda F. Anzio. John died on April 10, 2003, in Beaver County.
